Where transportation barriers may exist, free food is delivered to communities where families and individuals are experiencing food insecurity. Food is transported via a farmer's-market styled 'Mobile Pop-Up' to various permenant & temporary managed housing communities where it is then set up for selection by the population living at that community.
(3) A participant in food sustainability education programs that offer internships for high school and college students. Full circle focuss is given from start to finnish including how any food that expires is handled during the recycling process. Any food that is not given out or passes its prime is organized as bio-waste and prepared for recycling.
Tree of New America is a facilitation leader and is working to put food sustainability in full motion by proud to promote the Kroger Company Foundation's Zero, Hunger Zero, Waste innitiative nationally.
